TVK Vision Statement
The Veterinary Kaleidoscope advocates for inclusion, diversity & belonging in our intersectional veterinary community by celebrating authenticity, visibility, curiosity & kindness.
Our Story
Our advocacy began in 2021 under Australian Rainbow Vets & Allies (ARVA), which advocates for the safety & recognition of LGBTQIA+ people. Since then, we've recognised the need for support of a wide breadth of marginalised communities in the veterinary profession. And so, TVK was formed and incorporated in 2023. After recent restructuring, TVK now serves as the primary umbrella advocacy group, supporting vet professionals in Australia with neurodivergence, identifying as LGBTQIA+, living with disability, identifying as Indigenous, and much more.
